We are running two sets of courses this year- the ones in the spring were held at Nic Westermann’s workshop in Wales, and the ones in the Autumn will be held at Adrian Lloyd’s in Cumbria, we both instruct on these courses, it is nice to have an alternate venue to save students traveling further than they need to.
The Spring courses are over but we have put up a few images from them.
Bookings are now being taken for the courses in October. There will be a course on Friday 20th – you will forge and grind a Sloyd knife, and also make a handle and sheath, it’s a busy day but has been loved by our students. More details and booking on Adrian’s Site
Over the weekend of the 21-22nd, we will be running a masterclass, although this is open to anybody it is ideally suited to students that have attended our one day course and would like to refine their skills. It is a slower-paced two day course, you will design and make a larger sloyd type knife but the size, profile, and grind are up to you. There will be ample time to shape a beautiful handle for your knife. You will also be able to make a smaller detail type knife, again the design is up to you but as with the Sloyd knives, we will provide examples to try out to help you decide. Details and booking
