sloyd jig gimbal

Description

This assembly of plastic gimbal and locking disc with brass grub screw is designed to be used with our sloyd jig, it limits movement in a CW / ACW direction when grinding, allowing for much more accurate grinding of the tip of sloyd blades. It will work with Wetsone / Tormek grinders with a 12mm bar, but generally with good technique it is not that necessary. However, if you are struggling with inconsistent grinds at the tip, this attachment will definitely help.

If you are hollow grinding on our convex platten, it is definitely recommended, the speed and downwards motion of the belt makes this  range of support much more beneficial.

Do not overtighten the grub screw, only gentle pressure is needed to lock the disc in place, the original larger disc is no longer needed.
